So what is next for me
Let me just say this year is flying by so fast!!!! I feel like I was just celebrating the new year and preparing for my 1st Ragnar. It has been 4 months since Ragnar Del Sol and I still miss that group of friends every single day! Running Down a Dream I love you!
Along with the Ragnar I have completed 12 other races including a mini sprint tri, several 10k’s, a 24 hour relay and a Make a Wish Walk.
So like I said what is next? In one week I will be doing the Day at The Beach Hermosa Triathlon with my friend Angela Lee. She so inspires me and has really reminded me I am capable of more that I give myself credit for.
Then I am thrilled, excited and might I even say giddy that I am doing the Craft Classic again. This is the race that really paved the way for me getting to where I am today. During this race, I met those that I consider my very best friends and choose to do things I would never had even considered a possibility in the past. I have Ragnar friends Valerie, Victoria and Janet coming in to do the race from both Arizona and New York.
`
I will be turning 55 in August and that scares me to death. I am hoping to be able to spend much needed sister time with my two sisters. I am sure they will remind me I am not old… right?
I have the Malibu Tri in September that I am again doing with my friend Angela and so thrilled that I will also have my two Ragnar mates Victoria and Valerie that are coming in from Arizona to do it with us.. YEAH!!!!!
I have the Rock n Roll Vegas again in November and I will be doing the half. I am hoping to PR this one.
And last but not least and technically not this year but I have my FIRST FULL MARATHON Feb 4th, 2018 in Huntington Beach. I get butterflies just think ing about it.
The biggest thing heading my way is because of this, I will be starting my Marathon Training program that I will be getting from Coach Rik Akey from From Fat To Finish Line. I am nervous about this training and whether I can do it. But In know that with my friends and family behind me I am finding I can do pretty much anything I set my mind to.
So I hope that you all will follow me on this journey to my first Full Marathon.
See you at the finish line!
